Sauti Sol member Savara Mudigi has opened up about appointing his longtime girlfriend, Yvonne Endo, as part of his management team. He says the decision was natural because she understands him better than anyone else and can communicate his needs clearly to the rest of the team. According to him, she serves as the link between him and the people he works with.
While many artists avoid working closely with their partners due to fears of emotional conflict or bias, Savara believes the opposite. He argues that having people who genuinely care about you creates a safer and more trustworthy environment. To him, family and loyalty come first, and the assumption that spouses can’t manage each other is not universally true.
Savara and Yvonne have been together for seven years, though they have not formalized their relationship. He has previously said that labels like “married” or “dating” are up to the public and not something he is concerned with. For him, what matters most is choosing how and whom to love—not conforming to society’s expectations.
The pair met in 2018 at the Africa Nouveau Festival in Nairobi, where Savara jokingly introduced himself as a stripper and asked for Yvonne’s number. Their relationship started privately before they eventually made it public. Savara describes Yvonne as his lover, best friend, and strongest supporter.
